Login to your CPanel account and click on Fantastico icon. You should see the screen below, with the list of scripts available to install on the left side.

Click on Joomla!. You will see basic information what Joomla! is, how much disk space is required and how much is available in your account. You should check also if the version of Joomla! is the latest available (1.0.12 as of April 2007). If not, we recommend that you do not install "old" version and try to install manually latest version (see our other tutorial: How to install Joomla! on hosting account with CPanel )

Click "New Installation" link to proceed.
Choose right domain name for your account. You can enter directory if you want to try Joomla! on your account, or leave "directory" field empty to install in main folder.
Later you just need to enter your admin username and password, email address for admin and site name. By default you could use just "admin" as username, but to increase security it is recommended to use different username, harder to guess for crackers.

Click "Install Joomla!". Next screen show the database name used by this Joomla! installation (Fantastico automatically created MySQL database and user) and access URL.

Click "Finish installation". That's it ! You should have now working Joomla! CMS in your account.
