Netcraft reports that web server survey from November 2007 returned over 149 784 000 sites, an increase of 7 million since previous month. In previous months the growth resulted mostly from bloggin platforms, like Microsoft's Live.com, Google's Blogger or MySpace, but this month the growth came from traditional hosting providers. Perhaps they started Christmas promotions earlier this year? Apache web server market share decreased below 50%, to 47.7%. Microsoft's share increased to over 37%. Google web server share increased also, to 5.4%. According to the detailed report LiteSpeed web server, which is known for very good performance, accounted for 247000 web sites.
