Hostspeed is a Joomla! component measuring performance of a host.

Test results are gathered by enabling debug mode, opening the front page of your Joomla! site and noting the load times, memory usage and number of queries executed. Debug mode is only enabled for the purpose of this test, so site visitors will never see this information.

After performing few tests, preferably over few days, you can see the daily performance in the form of table results or chart: last 10 results, average load time and memory usage or number of queries in last 7 or 30 days. (Charts are generated using Google Chart API, so they will NOT work if you test this component on localhost without Internet connection).

If a number of Joomla! users will install it in different hosting providers and use it from time to time then we will have a set of results allowing us to objectively compare hosts.

This component sends us your anonymous testing results. Just hosting provider name and plan name are used to aggregate them. Sending your test results can be disabled in options.
